We’re looking for our first-ever Growth Engineer to help us rapidly explore new product features that will help us reach more new and existing users. You’ll be part of a small team of curiously-minded experimenters looking to iterate, fail fast, and learn what resonates with our customers.

  1. You get to have a massive impact. You’ll focus entirely on building our user growth strategy and features, but you’ll start with a solid product foundation. You’ll be able to build and propose new product features that help us acquire users, and focus on generating quality (not quantity) engagement with our free and premium education users.
  2. You’ll be a founding member of a new growth team. You’ll work directly with the leadership of the company, owning critical business KPIs with a ton of autonomy in the development process.
  3. You’ll be boarding a rocketship. Screencastify has experienced meteoric growth over the past two years. If done well, you’ll play a critical role in setting our sights away from the moon and towards Mars.

What you'll do

  • Build new product features from start to finish: through conception, research, impact measurement, maintenance, and polish
  • Brainstorm, define and execute product-based growth experiments
  • Work closely with a small, cross-functional growth team that will operate independently as a start-up within a start-up.
  • Understand our existing product landscape and how to optimize it.
  • Ship new features and tweak them often to get feedback and iterate quickly.
  • Collaborate with our core engineering team when scale or performance becomes a concern.

You're perfect for this role if you...

  • Have 4-6+ years building and experimenting with user interfaces that have reached a large audience, ideally while the product is experiencing rapid growth.
  • Have frontend and backend development experience.
  • Have worked with Angular, Node, Javascript, React, and Typescript.
  • Possess an understanding of the tools that power marketing automation, experimentation, personalization, attribution, and analytics.
  • Care about the business implications of anything you build. You're not just going after cool stuff — you understand the balance between craft, speed, and the bottom line.
  • Have the ability to communicate technical needs and blockers with non-technical folks.
  • Are action-oriented, metrics-driven, curious, and kind.
