We couldn't wait to continue our Teacher of the Month competition after we had such great candidates last month. Like our last competition, it was incredibly difficult to narrow the applications down to a top three.
But, we're happy that our work is over. The #communityofcasters on Twitter can take over from here! Between today and February 25, a poll will be active on our Twitter account. After you have had a chance to learn more about the candidates below, cast your vote for the educator you think is most deserving of being crowned February Teacher of the Month.
Candidate 1: The Veteran with New Tricks
Elinor has been teaching for over 20 years. But, her practices have changed quite a bit since she first honed her teacher voice. In her words, she has fully embraced flipped learning and station rotations. In the process of her transformation, Eleanor has made sure not to leave her colleagues in the dust. She's taught the magic of Screencastify and flipped learning to all interested colleagues.
Candidate 2: The STS Advisor
Michelle understands the importance of tech support. But, she also recognizes that adults don't always have to be the folks to provide it. She has empowered her students to provide online technical support to their classmates, teachers, and anyone else in need. Under Michelle's leadership, students have created hundreds of Screencastify powered tech videos.
Candidate 3: Focused on Students
Nathan originally applied to be a part of our January Teacher of the Month competition. We loved his application so much that we knew we would need to revisit it. Nathan's application is unique because it's all about students. He uses Screencastify to make sure that students can learn at their own pace. Similarly, he uses flexible seating to ensure student comfort. We are blown away by his commitment to serving students.
All of these candidates are amazing, but there can only be one winner. Head to Twitter to vote for the most deserving candidate.
