New Feature Alert: Screen + Webcam Recordings in Submit!
Nefertiti Dukes | October 15, 2020
We're excited to announce that we've turned the single most requested Screencastify Submit feature into a reality. Now, your students can submit videos that include their screen AND their webcam.
Like always, you'll get to decide what types of videos students record. But now, you'll have three incredible assignment types to choose from 🤩
There are at least a million ways to use this new feature. With so many options, we thought we'd start you off with our favorite five:
We know that you've been creating tons of instructional videos. It might be time to let your students take a turn. Have them create a lesson and turn on their webcams to teach their classmates.
🎫 Student Presentations
Your kiddos are likely already submitting extraordinary presentations with Submit. Now, those presentations can get even better as your students marry their digital artifacts with their exceptional presentation skills.
🧠 Illuminate Student Thinking
We've always said that we're in the business of giving teachers superpowers. We've got another ability to add to your toolbelt: telepathy. When students narrate their work on screen, you'll finally get a peek into their thinking.
🤔 Student Reflections
Wondering how students feel about some of their work products? Now you can just ask with Submit! You'll be able to see their work and their facial expressions as they reflect on what they've done in the past.
📚 Reading Fluency
Fluent readers emote while reading. With student webcams on, you can check for both reading fluency and prosody. It's a game changer for developing your budding readers.
We're looking forward to seeing all of the ways you engage your students with this new assignment type. Be sure to share your assignment ideas with us and the whole Submit community using #ScreencastifySubmit on Twitter.
